The race starts in Bug Light Park, leads runners along the Spring Point Shoreway, past Willard Beach, through Willard Square and several historic coastal neighborhoods and along the Greenbelt Walkway back to Bug Light Park. This unique course even ends along the water providing great photo opportunities with Casco Bay in the background. 

The course location offers runners and walkers scenic views of Portland Harbor and Casco Bay.

Turn by Turn Course Directions

1. Starting Line facing Southeast
2. Run along park entrance road
3. Turn right onto Madison Street
4. Turn left onto Breakwater Drive
5. Turn left onto Adams Street
6. Continue until Adams intersects with Bunker Road
7. Follow route markers and race flaggers through SMCC campus and along Spring Point Shoreway
8. Careful along the Shoreway as the pathway is narrow and pavement uneven at points
9. The Shoreway path will merge with Beach Street
10. Follow Beach Street to the right and then left
11. Turn left on Preble Street
12. At Willard Square, veer right and turn right onto Thompson Street
13. Turn right onto Summit Street
14. Turn left onto Preble Street
15. Careful to use race flaggers for assistance in crossing Broadway
16. Turn right onto the Greenbelt Walkway
17. Follow walkway, cross Breakwater Drive
18. Follow Madison Street back into Bug Light Park
19. Follow directional signs to the finish line
